Loves To Help - Alex M.
Sutherlin Subaru came to our club, and was a big help to the families we serve. Not only did our children receive brand new jacket and shoes & sock. The children and their families benefited from the kind giving so did the their brothers and sisters that do not do to the boys and girls club. It's one thing for a child to get new article of clothing, but when they like the style and view it as "COOL" they get a confidence boost each time they wear it. Our children enjoyed this event, and it was truly helpful to the families we were able to serve through this project. Thank you, Alex Myers

CASA - Connie T.
CASA of the Tennessee Valley had many new, exciting, and challenging things happen in 2023. First, CASA of the Tennessee Valley expanded into three more counties. We now serve Cumberland, Putnam, and Overton counties along with Roane, Loudon, and Morgan counties. We are thrilled and excited to start this new journey while keeping the focus on our children we serve in the court system. Roane County served 114 children last year, 2023. Each one of these children was able to have a CASA advocate on their side. Last year Roane County served these children with thirteen advocates. With the generous support of Subaru Share the Love each child was able to have a CASA advocate which provided a genuine and loving presence and support in their lives in a critical time of their life. Because of the Share the Love by the Subaru donations, we have been able to recruit and train 12 advocates this year.

CASA of the Tennessee Valley - Sherri H.
In the heart of the Tennessee Valley, a beacon of hope shines bright for vulnerable children – CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the Tennessee Valley. And in their journey of advocacy, support, and care, they found a steadfast partner in Subaru's "Share the Love" initiative, a partnership that blossomed into a true success story. Every year, Subaru hosts its "Share the Love" event, during which customers purchasing or leasing a new Subaru can select a charity to receive a donation. CASA of the Tennessee Valley has been one of the fortunate beneficiaries for the past several years. The impact of being a recipient of Share the Love has been profound. With each Subaru sold or leased by Sutherlin Subaru in Kingston Tennessee, a portion of the proceeds found its way to CASA, bolstering our mission to provide a voice for abused and neglected children in the court system. This infusion of support has enabled CASA of the Tennessee valley to expand our reach, becoming the largest CASA in the State of Tennessee. We've also been enabled to recruit more volunteers than ever and provide critical resources to a record number of children in need. But the partnership doesn't stop there. Sutherlin Subaru's commitment extends beyond financial contributions. They became advocates themselves, spreading awareness about CASA of the Tennessee Valley's cause through their extensive network and platforms. From social media campaigns to local events, Sutherlin Subaru amplified CASA's message, rallying communities to join the fight for children's rights. Together, Subaru and CASA forged a bond rooted in shared values – compassion, resilience, and the unwavering belief in a brighter future for every child. Through our collaboration, countless lives have been touched, and countless stories of hope have emerged. One such story is that of Sarah, a young girl who found herself entangled in the complexities of the foster care system. Alone and afraid, she felt lost and forgotten. That is until CASA of the Tennessee Valley stepped in, providing Sarah with a dedicated advocate who became her anchor in turbulent waters. With unwavering support and guidance, Sarah found her voice and her courage to speak up for herself. And CASA stood by her side, steadfast and reliable, until she reached a safe and permanent home with a loving family. Sarah's story is but one example of the transformative power of partnership. Thanks to Subaru's "Share the Love" initiative, organizations like CASA of the Tennessee Valley can continue to be beacons of hope for children in need, illuminating the path toward a brighter tomorrow. As the wheels of change continue to turn, driven by compassion and fueled by generosity, Sutherlin Subaru and CASA of the Tennessee Valley remain committed to our shared mission – to share the love and drive change, one mile at a time.
Cash's Adoption Day - STACEY W.
Sutherlin Subaru and the Roane County Animal Shelter have been partners in the Subaru and ASPCA grant for two years now! The entire staff at Sutherlin Subaru are HUGE animal advocates and help us take care of our shelter pets as well as our community as a whole! We are so blessed to be a part of something so wonderful and so much bigger than ourselves! In the month of October, we had over 80 pet adoptions at our shelter and we just couldn't have done it without the help of Sutherlin Subaru's support and enthusiasm! A donation drive for supplies, food and money donations took place at the dealership throughout October for our shelter pets. Blankets, food and much more came to us from this drive to help us keep our shelter babies warm, healthy and money donations helped to spay/neuter and vaccinate several cats and dogs. Subaru issued a check for $3,100 to us for 31 of the 80 adopted pets in October! One particular good boy, Cash, benefited from the amazing support from Sutherlin Subaru! He found his purrfect Furever home!!! He is completely vetted and living his best life ever now! Another benefit is the volunteers that we have acquired through advertisement from Sutherlin Subaru, promoting awareness for our shelter babies! Even though they weren't able to adopt from us, they still come to help us and share the love for our beloved pets and advocate for them! Connie, at Sutherlin Subaru, is absolutely amazing! She is so inspiring and such a hard worker for everyone! She helped organize and accommodate us when we came to their dealership for an adoption event! Everyone had so much fun, including the pets! We look forward to many more adoption events with our partners at Sutherlin Subaru and we are furever grateful for their continued ongoing support!
SHARE THE LOVE (BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB) - Connie T.
AT THE BOYS AND GILRS IS AN PLACE WHERE BOYS AND GIRLS HAVE A PLACE TO GO AND HAVE FUN AND LEARN NEW THINGS BESIDE WHAT THEY LEARN AT SCHOOL. THE CLUB HELP THEM LEARN THINGS TO BE ABLE TO DO THINGS IN LIFE THAT THEY DONT HAVE A CHANCE TO LEARN. THEY HELP TO ENCOURAGE THEM TO BE MORE THAN THEY THINK THET ARE. SUTHERLIN SUBARU BROUGHT SHOES AND SOCKS AND JACKETS TO THE CHILDREN AND THEY LOVED IT, ALOT OF CHILDREN WHERE SO HAPPY THEY GOT NEW STUFF AND WAS JUMPING AROUND FOR JOY. ALSO THE TIME THERE THE GENERAL MANAGER FROM SUTHERLIN PLAY GAMES WITH THE CHILDREN AND WE ALL HAD FUN SEEING THE SUBARU DEALERSHIP TAKE TIME TO PLAY WITH THEM AND TO TALK TO THEM. SOME CHILDREN DONT HAVE THE FUNDS SOMETIMES AND THINGS LIKE THIS IS A BLESSING AND MAKE THEM KNOW OTHERS DO CARE.
LOVES TO CARE (CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL) - Connie T.
We at Sutherlin Subaru went to visit the children at the local Childrens Hospital and visit the children who is fight Cancer and Leukemia, this was a heart warming feeling and sad to see the children of our future go through this, well anyone that has to go through this. We also had all our staff fill out a message card to give to them as well and the customers were happy to fill out some too. This was so important to do and show the children that others care and that we here at Sutherlin Subaru cares too. I also hand delivered a pillow/blanket to a 12-year-old who was sent home from Children's Hospital in the middle of May on Hospice's care he is one of our local boy’s and it’s hard to see a child not knowing the outcome. This boy has touched so many lives and one of the things he had said was if you take your eyes of God then you will be lost just like peter did in the Bible and he said I will always keep my eyes on God because he is the one who knows the outcome and that he knows that he would be took care of. Hearing this 12-year-old boy say this makes you start to think, and this is sometime how we learn things from children. But we at Sutherlin Subaru cares about our small town and what little we have here to show we care about our community.

love to help and socks - Connie T.
Subject: Love Promise socks in Roane County Thank you Sutherlin Subaru of Kingston for your donation of over 500 pairs of brand new socks for the homeless and poor in our County. This donation was to the Warming Center at Courts of Praise Church . Even though the Warming Center is closed since it's now over 32 degrees, we distributed these socks to our Blessing Box at 215 Maple St in Harriman and have had volunteers drop off these socks at the Blessing Boxes at Chase Drugs in Harriman and also the Blessing Box in Midtown. We have hygiene bags that are shared with many ministries throughout Roane County so these socks will also be in those. Additionally we plan to attend the Resource Community Fair on April 21 at First Presbyterian Church of Rockwood and will have these socks, hygiene bags, the Free Medical Clinic Bus will be there and Potter's House Fellowship Church will provide a light lunch to all who attend to visit the nonprofit service providers of our County. ROANE COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER - Connie T.
We are so grateful to and for Sutherlin Subaru for helping us help the stray, lost and discarded pets in our county! With your help, so many more pets have been positively impacted than we would ever be able to reach on our own. Through social media and commercial advertisements, you have helped us with rehoming, vetting, education of being responsible pet owner, and the joy of having a loyal and loving pet in the family! The food drives and fundraisers at your dealership has even brought awareness to our community about our shelters existence and our efforts to help our county pets in need. Subaru’s motivation and inspiration to help and promote our pets has also been contagious throughout our community! Our support has increased from the partnership and relationship with Subaru! We have other local businesses and organizations who have reached out to us to establish new partnerships! There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude to and for Sutherlin Subaru! We are so proud to be a part of such a wonderful family working together to improve the lives of so many pets! Thank you! Stacey Whittenberg Roane County Animal Shelter Director
CASA - Connie T.
Dear Sutherlin Subaru, On behalf of the staff, board of directors, and advocates of CASA of the Tennessee Valley, I would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for choosing us to be a recipient of the Subaru Share the Love event! In the past several years, the Share the Love event has provided much-needed support to our organization. As you know, CASA of the Tennessee Valley is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, that advocates for abused and neglected children. CASA provides an essential service to our local communities by making sure a qualified, compassionate adult will fight for and protect a child’s right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect, and to learn and grow in the safe embrace of a loving family. With the support of Subaru Share the Love, CASA of the Tennessee Valley has served a record-breaking number of abused and neglected children this year. In addition, we have provided school supplies and Christmas gifts to the most vulnerable children. We have recruited and retained volunteer advocates who are daily fighting for the rights of those children. Thank you for helping CASA of the Tennessee Valley to continue to serve abused and neglected children in Roane, Loudon, and Morgan counties. With gratitude, Sherri Hundley Executive Director CASA of the Tennessee Valley
